The compositional rules seek to establish a “specular” relationshp between the city of alive people and the city of the deads. For this reason it was decided to adopt a set of orthogonal axes connected to the adjacent urban grid, the two entities enter into communication (physically and visually) between them, they seek for themselves without ever meeting. Two distinct parts but they share one single system: the city. One of the main theoretical assumptions of the project is the idea of considering the existing cemetery as a great object to insert into a set of similar but different sized objects forming a single garden.
